Hi There! 

We are Eric and Fiona and we are so grateful you have visited Earth Tails!

Like you, we love our dogs, and we love bringing them out for hikes and walks! Yet, we understand there is also the not so cute part of having a dog... carrying their waste, ugh...

If you remember the heat dome that settled in a couple of years ago where temperatures SOARED into the 40 degree Celcius range... well, it was then that Earth Tails was born!

One sweltering afternoon during the heatwave, Eric and I walked through Fish Creek with our two dogs. I noticed swiftly that carrying the dog waste bag in that heat was a situation that wasn't get any prettier. The smell and the sweat gathering in my hand carrying the waste bag, had me begging that a garbage would just magically appear so I could get rid of the bag once and for all!

Simply put, carrying the bag of dog waste was distracting and took from the enjoyment of the walk with my hubby and beloved pups. 

Fed up, I turned to Eric and said "What if we created a bag that could carry the used dog waste bag as well as the clean roll of bags?" The answer was clear and resounding "Let's go for it!" and so we got to work!
